How it all started?

My first writing.. 👆

I have been thinking a lot about "Writing" since a long time now and the clock has finally ticked today to put all of it in a place. It's about the Photography I do . 😊 Hope you will like it.

Here we go!

Mid 2013, Avin, one of my school friends created his photography page in Facebook which had all his work on nature and portraits. That drew my first attention towards photography, how simple things on earth and nature can be finely portrayed through this medium. I gained interest and started looking in to this keenly, frankly speaking I was fascinated 😘😳 by the art how photography can help in showcasing the beautiful things on earth when seen through our eyes.

That time, It was the beginning of my career as a software professional in testing the applications manually earning around 15k per month and with a personal saving in 100's.

It is good to try different things around and seriousness to keep that enthusiasm comes automatically with time and patience. That one thirst had always driven me to try many things and kept me in a race.

I started photography with a mobile camera ("specifically bought to try photography") of Sony Xperia Ion smart phone which had a 12MP camera with absolutely fantastic color combinations and depth of field when shooting macros.

Infosys (where I work ) has a large varieties of trees, little plants, birds around colorful flowers were the first ones to try out for me. I started to try landscapes and the blue hour skies as my first genre in photography. May be people around thought me a mere stupid wandering around trees shooting with his mobile phone leaving his work behind. But I managed to close my work on time too 😉 before I could go out for shoot at office.

Is it the right time to buy a DSLR? 🙄😐

No! I had no proper idea on how the right exposure works out when I started to think of buying a DSLR, Yes! you read it right, wanted to be a hobby photographer but did not know the basic components about how to achieve a good picture (to say at least). All I knew was the rule of thirds, I managed to work with it.

As I already mentioned it was very tough to save a penny for personal interests at that time, I wanted a camera to learn and produce more good quality pictures like the great ones we keep seeing on internet everyday.

There were loans to be paid off at home so I did not wanted to ask my father to spare a cut down in my salary share every month as a part of contributions, finally the salary hike factor that year worked out well for me which helped in saving for my camera starting soon after the 1st quarter of 2014 adding 1000 bucks and left over pennies every month from my pocket to the bank's iwish account.

Meantime, I practiced more, learned few basic tips from photography friends around me, started to post my work on Facebook every now and then which actually helped me to gain confidence over my work, there were people who always encouraged, who criticized, who made fun by seeing the trials at my hobby. But that was OK, it was good to see people reacting, it left me some kind of a hope which always helped to move further in this journey.

Saving money was now OK, but which camera to buy was the next step I was always looking into. As a beginner it is never advisable to go for a pro, semi pro cameras and start hanging around with them like an absurd with no good knowledge. Money comes first all the time, so the basic dslr camera within my budget was my option to go with. After a good amount of research on Canon and Nikon basic models available in the market, finally fixed to get a Canon 1200D dual lens camera which comes with a 18-55mm, 55-250mm combo package. In my view, this is the best entry level camera a beginner can ever have in his life.

Trip to Himalayas, Fareed and then Vinay on my left

Before I can buy a DSLR, I wanted to have a hands on experience at least for a short span, for which my Delhi tour with Vinay and Fareed was the best thing happened to me. We went on a Himalayas tour to Manali in Dec 2015 where Vinay bought his DSLR camera with him. Fortunately, it was the same one that was on my wishlist - Canon 1200D to bag a good amount of travelling memories. I managed to get some good hands on using his help and his camera 😉

December 28th 2015:

After a long wait of 2 years of saving around 24K, the day has finally come. It comes home - The most awaited, charming little beginner beauty Canon 1200D dual lens combo in my hands. Was really very excited to get my hands on it as soon as it gets delivered, but I also believe in some simple Indian superstitions, that a girl's hand is lucky in getting started with new things 😊, asked Madhura, one of my best buddies to come along with me and open it for me.

I had to believe it this time, anything that comes after a long wait and patience will truly stay as a valuable one for life. Buying with my earnings well this was the first achievement I say.
